SUMMARY:Ealing Beaver Project Safari
DESCRIPTION:A guided tour of the Ealing Beaver Project site at Paradise Fields in urban Greenford. You’ll be guided around the site to discover the aims of the Ealing Beaver Project\, hear what our Beaver family have been getting up to since their release in October 2023\, see signs of feeding and the dams they have built\, and the positive biodiversity and ecological changes made to the site. Please note it is unlikely that you will see the Beavers but you will see lots of their activity. We request that all attendees behave appropriately. Those not acting in the interests of the Beaver’s welfare will be asked to leave the site. Beavers are wild animals that can easily be disturbed by human intervention and loud noises. With Beavers being a keystone species called “ecosystems engineers”\, Ealing Beaver Project is excited to show you around the site and explore what is to come. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Will I see the Beavers?\n \n\n It is unlikely you will see the Beavers as they are generally nocturnal. You will see lots of Beaver activity including signs of feeding and dam building\, and learn a lot about why the reintroduction of Beavers is so important for the environment today. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What should I wear?\n \n\n Wear wellies or sturdy waterproof footwear\, and clothing suitable for the weather or layers. As the walk leaves the path\, during and after wet weather the site is likely to be muddy. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Is there free parking available?\n \n\n Paradise Fields car park is free with no regulations and has disabled spaces. Westway Cross Retail Park car park enforces strict parking regulations. Please check the signs when parking. Ealing Wildlife Group are not responsible for any fines incurred for non-compliance with the parking regulations. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What do I need to know about travelling to Paradise Fields?\n \n\n There are major roadworks on Greenford Road (A4127)\, the main access road to Paradise Fields causing severe traffic delays. Please allow additional travel time if coming by road in a car or TFL bus. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Can I get to Paradise Fields by public transport?\n \n\n Greenford Station is an 8-10-minute walk\, served by the Central Line (West Ruislip branch) and Great Western Railway from West Ealing. Local buses E6\, 92 and 105 use Rockware Ave/Greenford St (Stop JJ) and 395 uses Westway Cross Retail Park (Stop II). NB – Roadworks are causing delays for buses. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n I'd like to cycle to Paradise Fields\, can I park my bike?\n \n\n There is an official covered bike stand in the Westway Cross Retail Park car park\, just across from the Paradise Fields car park and McDonald’s. It is located alongside the right-hand side outer wall of Pets at Home as you face the store\, in the bottom corner. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Can children attend?\n \n\n We welcome families to attend. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian holding a paid adult ticket. Please note that all attendees must remain on the paths unless instructed to do so by the Walk Leader and to keep noise to a minimum to avoid disturbing the Beavers. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Why are you charging for tickets?\n \n\n The Ealing Beaver Project is a five-year project so funding will be required to cover costs over that time. The partners decided to charge for the guided tours as a fundraising effort. They deliberately set a low ticket cost for adults\, plus Eventbrite fees\, with under-18s attending for free. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What are the ticket charges?\n \n\n Each adult over 18 wishing to attend must purchase an adult ticket at £10.00\, plus Eventbrite fees. All under-18s are free and don’t require a ticket. However\, those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with a paid adult ticket. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What do I do I can't attend the walk I booked?\n \n\n To cancel please request a refund up to 24 hours before your walk. Only when a refund is requested can a ticket be made available to the waitlist for someone to attend in your place. You will receive a refund for only the ticket cost\, as Eventbrite fees are not refundable.

SUMMARY:Citizen Zoo: Paradise Fields Rewilding Day
DESCRIPTION:A guided tour of the Ealing Beaver Project site at Paradise Fields in urban Greenford. SUMMARY:Ealing Beaver Project Guided Walks
