Dr Abhilesh Dhawanjewar (BS, MS, PhD) is an Evolutionary Geneticist and Bioinformatician with the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit and University of Cambridge. He began his research career in the tropical rainforests of Northeast India, where he first developed a deep appreciation for ecological systems. A long-time nature enthusiast, Abhilesh supports the Ealing Beaver Project by contributing to biodiversity surveys at Paradise Fields and assisting with local nature group activities. He also brings his passion for technology to the project, maintaining its digital infrastructure, exploring ways to analyze the ecological data, and championing the use of self-hosted, Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) solutions.
