The Ealing Beaver Project Naming Competition invited primary school pupils across Ealing to help name our resident beaver family—and after an incredible response, four names were selected for our beavers; “Woody” and “Willow” were reintroduced to Paradise Fields in October 2023 and “Chompy” and “Chewbacca (Chewy)” were the latest additions to the beaver family, born in 2024.
The pupils whose creative entries helped name our beavers, along with their families and teachers, were invited to a special Naming Ceremony and Beaver Project Tour on Saturday, 15th February 2025, at Paradise Fields, Ealing. In recognition of their contributions, they received awards from Mete Coban, Deputy Mayor of London, and Bassam Mahfouz, Member of the London Assembly for Ealing and Hillingdon, making the event a truly memorable celebration.
